The Coalition

Hyperion Safety includes organizations, business owners, tenants, residents, schools, and students in the Los Feliz and Silver Lake communities who seek to prioritize safety and mobility on the 1.5 mile stretch of roadway extending from Hyperion Ave at Rowena Ave to Fountain Ave at Sunset Blvd.

Let’s partner today in building a multi-benefit active transportation infrastructure on Hyperion and Fountain Avenues that will result in Safe Streets, Climate Resilience, Thriving Businesses, Improved Health and Social Equity, while serving as a Global Model for Complete Streets.

Community Engagement

Over the past four years, we have petitioned CD4, CD13 and LADOT; voluntarily prepared a collision analysis of The Avenue; hosted walk audits; staged pop-up events; and met for virtual meetings. By growing our coalition of supporters, we anticipate the City Council Members will act on an effective safety action plan.

We continue to reach out directly to businesses and meet with school organizations for their official endorsements.
